Panel Executive

The Panel is supported by a professional executive that consists of the Chief Executive, the General Counsel heading a specialist legal team, and the Practice Manager.

Enforcing the Takeovers Code is the Panel’s primary focus and all Code-regulated transactions are actively monitored by the Panel executive. The most significant part of the Panel’s enforcement resources goes to the Panel’s enforcement function where the executive reviews and provides informal advice on Code-regulated transaction documents while they are still in draft. Early engagement with the executive enables applicants to meet the standards of disclosure required by the Panel for Code-regulated transactions.

The executive is available to assist with any questions about the Takeovers Panel and the Takeovers Code. Please note, however, that the executive does not provide legal advice. Any person who is concerned about compliance with the Takeovers Code is encouraged to obtain independent advice from a legal practitioner experienced with the Code.
